Major Quasi Government Utility

• Provision of technical and commercial telecoms consultancy to Utility with 28,000 employees on 25 sites in the UK
• Input to Telecoms Strategy, Fixed Line Telecoms Rationalisation, Cellular Contract Replacement, Satellite Pager Replacement and O2 Airwave projects, advising on end to end replacement of existing solutions to meet emergency and business as usual requirements.
• Assistance with project management, scoping the projects, authoring project brief documentation, project initiation and managing the project plan.
• Provision of input into formal procurement documentation for vendor and solution evaluation including OJEU and OGC procurement.
• Capture of business and technical requirements to produce high level designs outlining existing and future requirements, impact on current initiatives and projects, technology options and recommendations.

2G and 3G Mobile Network Operator

• Review and reporting on all current mobile and wireless RFID technologies and solutions commercially available.
• Research and reporting on future convergence of mobile and RFID technologies.
• Engagement with major suppliers of RFID hardware, software and solutions.
• Creation of 'go to market' consultative strategy to provide value added RFID based services and solutions to the main vertical markets of transport, logistics and travel.
